Albany Sons Fundraisers and Update

The Albany, NY Phocion 44 Sons have been very active. Beginning on Saturday October 8th, and continuing through October and November, the Sons started their Fall Cleanup Fundraiser. We go to parishioner's houses, rake leaves, and attend to any other fall cleanup necessary, and recieve a donation in return. We have recieved overwhelming support from the Albany Community, and hope to continue this tradition every year.
On Sunday October 30th, in conjuction with the Albany Maids, will be hosting our Annual Halloween Party. This free event for the community is an annual tradition at the Church. The Sons set up and run the Haunted House that is constructed in the Church Gym.
Additionally, on Sunday November 13th, we will hold our 2nd Annual SOP Awards Breakfast. We will be honoring Dr. Christopher Kendris, an active member of both St. Sophia's Greek Orthodox Church and the Albany AHEPA Chapter. All proceeds from this event will go towards the National Project.
Lastly, we are proud to announce that on Sunday September 25th, we initiated 5 new brothers into our chapter. We look to initiate more Sons into our chapter, as many young men in the community are showing interest in the Sons of Pericles.
