Sons of Pericles Age Range
| Questions have recently arisen regarding the age range of the Sons of Pericles. Some believe the span of 14-27 years of age is too wide. However, the benefits of this age span are overwhelming. By joining the Sons of Pericles at the age of fourteen, I learned the importance of brotherhood, responsibility, and how to continue the rich traditions of our culture. | |
Perhaps, the most important thing that comes out of this is the bond of brotherhood. Brotherhood has no age range in real life, nor does it in the Sons. Both my local chapter and the Supreme Lodge made me feel important and helped me realize what the Sons were all about; a band of brothers who care about others and wish to help them. The importance of each member, no matter how young, displayed by the order, is the picturesque definition of a “Brotherhood”. |

The bonds of brotherhood that I have learned from being a Son are lessons that I find myself using throughout my life. The kindness shown by my brothers provided a foundation for me to grow as a Son and as a contributor to society. There is no doubt that I look forward to continuing to be a part of the AHEPA family and sharing the values I have learned with future young members. Through the virtues of the Sons, all the kindness, all the lessons learned, and all that the organization stands for I am extremely proud to say: “I am a member of the Sons of Pericles.” |
