The Sons of Pericles and Maids of Athena, looking to honor its past leaders, as well as to try to raise money for the newly created Foundation, decided to revive the tradition of the Youth Salute.   At the National Convention in Las Croabas, Puerto Rico, the 2001 Youth Salute recipient was Christos Cotsakos, chairman and CEO of E*TRADE.   Mr. Cotsakos is a past Son of Pericles serving in both the Chapter level as well as the District level.  Past recipients include Sergeant Shriver, Sen. Paul Sarbanes, Con. George Gekas, journalist Ike Pappas, and Chris Economides.
